As a painter, I constantly ask myself the question: where does the border begin between the image and the void? How much space do I take with my colours, how much space do I leave to the void, the paper, the white, the precious latitude which allows us to breathe when looking at an artwork ? There is no definite answer, and that’s the beauty of it. I keep on asking, searching –and maybe that’s what it’s all about.
